6.6m weekenderDesign Concept I had sold my last boat, an SS 34, after owning her for 26 years, in 2002 when my late wife who had sailed with me for 55 years, became too ill to sail with me. When she lost her battle with cancer in 2006 I began to think about another boat and considered buying a second hand trailer sailer for single handed sailing. I wanted a boat that could be trailered and was light and easily handled, but with reasonably comfortable accommodation for cruising and particularly for living aboard at my favourite anchorage at Rottnest Island, Fremantle.
Construction I received a prompt and encouraging response inviting me to send them a copy of my design so their engineer could advise me about the necessary sizes, weights and quantities of materials for the job. For me, not having had any experience with sandwich construction, this was invaluable. I soon received expert advice and a quote for materials for foam sandwich construction. |
